Swissport completes acquisition of Servisair: Swissport announced that the acquisition of Servisair from Derichebourg group has been completed. On 2nd August Swissport announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Servisair. Financial terms were not disclosed. All required regulatory approvals were obtained before closing.

Swissport Aircraft Maintenance is pleased to announce that the Transfer of our FAA 145 Repair Station Certificate from our San Francisco, California office to our Washington Dulles office is now complete. Great job to the entire Aircraft Maintenance staff for all their heard work, dedication, and patience.

1 March 2015

Marked another milestone for the ACMX Department with HNL starting  Aircraft Maintenance Technical Assist handling for China Airlines on their 7 flights from Taipei/Narita/HNL and 2 direct flights form Taipei weekly. To add to this, starting April 1, 2015, HNL will also provide Full Technical Handling and AWR/Logbook sign off for  them for three flights per week. This is a great accomplishment for the Aircraft Maintenance Department, by gaining this valuable customer in HNL, will open many avenues for the other Line Maintenance Stations throughout the North America. By having just one station certified by the Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC), will hold great value and opportunities elsewhere.  This is the first stepping stone for the Aircraft Maintenance Department in achieving our goal for  growing the Line of business to a higher level.

June 2015  

Swissport Aircraft Maintenance has signed an agreement with COPA Airlines in 3 more stations (BOS, JFK and SFO).  These three stations will provide daily overnight technical handling  (AWR) and RON service checks.   Start dates are as follows:  JFK (June 1st.), BOS (July 19) and SFO (September 1st) .

 

Swissport Aircraft Maintenance at BOS station has signed an agreement with Aeromexico Airlines to provide transit check service (AWR), effective June 1, 2015.   Aeromexico operates 6 flights weekly, non-stop service, from Mexico City to Boston with B737 Next Gen aircrafts.  COPA Airlines and Aeromexico’s recent selection of Swissport aircraft maintenance in BOS, JFK, SFO is as a result of the great service and customer relationship they enjoy in other Swissport stations.

December 2015

Team HNL has recently added another contract to the Swissport ACMX Aloha family. Jin Air, a low-cost carrier (LCC) affiliated with Korean Air, will operate a B777 for  flights between Incheon and Honolulu, Hawaii, beginning on December 19, 2015,  becoming the first Korean budget airline to open a long-haul international route. The HNL Team will provide Jin Air with Technical Assistance for 5 weekly flights.

May 2016

Swissport Aircraft Maintenance, Dulles Virginia Station (IAD), has successfully gained two customers starting May 2016.

 

1. Full EASA, AWR/ETOPS service to ASL (Flying for Aer Lingus) Daily flight DUB-IAD, B757. Our B757 qualified/certified Technicians have the experience and knowledge to perform this level of service and more.

2. Full DGAC AWR/ETOPS Service for LATAM B767-300 ( Transit Service Check as well as Daily Service Check), Swissport aircraft maintenance IAD has been granted the DGAC 145 Repair Station in March 2016.  

October 2016

Congratulations! to our team members in LAX station, for handling its first flight, Ethiopian Airline B787,  October 14, 2016.

 

Swissport Aircraft Maintenance (LAX), through its dedicated team in LAX, has been granted Ethiopian ECAA Authorization to sign off (AWR, ETOPS) to Ethiopian Airlines B787-8.

 

Ethiopian Airlines Selected Swissport from a list of providers in LAX based on station capability and staff qualifications to handle the Airline B787-8.

 

Swissport aircraft maintenance LAX station has experience working the B787-8 fleet since 2015, handling Aeromexico’s fleet of  B787’s.

 

It is worth noting that this is the first ECAA Authorization to be granted to a provider in the USA, by the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority. We are thrilled and looking forward to serving Ethiopian Airlines in other stations in the USA.

Swissport Aircraft Maintenance (IAD) is proud to announce, an additional approval from India Civil Aviation Authority (to its existing list of approvals (FAA, EASA and DGAC of Chile.

 

The Indian Civil Aviation Approval to provide full Line Maintenance service (AWR, ETOPS) to Air India, B777-200LR/300ER.

 

Air India will launch new non-stop service between Indira Gandhi International and Dulles International airports starting July 7th. The airline will offer three nonstop, round-trip flights a week.

 

Experienced and professional team with training on B777-200/300 from an approved FAA 147 training school, are ready to provide the service.

 

In addition to Air India B777 full AWR/ETOPS handling, IAD also fully certifies B737 (Aeromexico and Copa Airlines), B757 (Aer Lingus/ASL), B767 (LATAM Airlines).

 

The Washington, D.C. metro area will become Air India’s fifth U.S. getaway after New Year, Newark, Chicago, and San Francisco.
